Technology platform

The EULIAA systems are built around a compact, modular platform that integrates all key subsystems on a common mechanical and thermal reference. The same platform hosts both IR and UV versions of the lidar; all critical subsystems have been built, tested and operated in the field.

Campaign Measurement Data
Situational awareness with near-real-time lidar data and intercomparison data from campaigns, including other instruments: Quicklook

Real-time operational wind data for weather forecasting and model integration: E-Profile

Validated atmospheric datasets, including daily reprocessed measurements and intercomparison data: GEO Knowledge Hub

The goal of EULIAA is the development of a lidar array measuring autonomously the atmospheric wind and temperature from 5 km up to 50 km on a 24/7-basis over a long period of time (> 1 year without maintenance) and covering a large observation area (up to 10’000 km2).
